RubberBands

i wear rubberbands on my wrist.
my mother wore rubberbands on her wrist
my grandmother wore rubberbands on her wrist

mom & grandma wore the old style red rubberbands that came on newspapers. they wore them to remind them to do specific things or be in certain places at certain times.....

i wear the NEW rubberbands....these ones are wider and stronger and more colorful than the old fashioned kind..... these ALSO have words, slogans or sayings imprinted on them.....i have many different colors blue green purple day-glo ...and many different sayings 'PRINCESS' 'LUCK O'THE IRISH' 'THE ROAD AND THE RADIO'

but i have two very special bands.....
one is white (glow-in-the-dark) and it says PAY IT FORWARD
the other is yellow and it says LIVE STRONG

i wear one in memory of each of my parents.

my mother's life philosophy was to do good deeds for others and expect nothing in return, and especially if someone shows you a kindness ~ pass it along and show someone else a kindness too....PAY IT FORWARD

my father lived strong he was the solid foundation that we built our family on. he never complained. he lost his battle to cancer last december. LIVE STRONG is the Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation

  2. You are so amazing yourself, Judianne. I would not blame you if you never talked to me again. But you still chat with me & show me what a true friend you are. I'm blessed to call you my friend.
    Thanks for everything!
    Love, Tammy
